Snowstorm

This is a picture I made last week during one of our recent snowfalls. It was snowing pretty heavy when I shot this picture on my way back into Smith Lake just a few miles from my home. This would have been pretty much black and white even in color but I had decided while shooting it I would probably convert it to b&w for the final image. Thanks for taking a look and any thoughts.
Canon 5D3, Canon 50mm, ISO 100, F/14 at 1/60 sec. Larger version included for much better view.

This is an inviting "Stopping by Woods" scene to my eye. I like being able to see the snow falling, and it does convey the sense of cold very well. I can almost imagine a sleigh coming around the corner. There is a timeless quality to it.

Another beauty in your winter series. The spots of open sky are a bit bright but really quite difficult to find anything to criticize here.

Nick, you again invite me to take a walk there! I admire the delicate leading lines at the bottom and enjoy the snow covered patterns of the trees. Wonderful work in b&w to me.

Very nice look at something I rarely get to see.  I like the road leading into what appears to be a snowy woods.  There are different shades of gray  trees that blend well with the scenery.

This is really nice.  Are you printing any of these?  I sure hope so.  You have a collection of classics.
The curve of the road, the nicely defined branches on the left, and those big trunks on the right to anchor it all.  You can see the snow some, and that works for me.
Well done!

Thanks you, David and Genny.
Genny, Yes, I do all of my own printing and do save the large files for printing. I will be printing a couple of these for my gallery. People like to look at winter images but they don't seem to sell as well as some of my other images. For that reason I only keep 3 or 4 framed winter pictures in my studio / gallery. I can print more if need be...and hopefully so...cool Thanks much, Nick
