Gold and Blue

A beach in Nova Scotia where we arrived at exactly at sunset. The golden light was playing on the exposed  ridges of sand and the shallow blue water coming in with the tide.

Beautiful abstract and nicely taken on the angled comp, Sandy. Colors look spot on for me.

Very nice abstract, Sandy. I love images like this. The large version seems a little over-saturated, but it certainly adds to the abstract feel. I like sinuous curves a lot.

I like this picture, Sandy. At a first sight in the thumbnail it seemed water rather than sand. The abstract is really well done and I like especially the light.

Great looking abstract! The light, shadows, gold and blue all working to create a very cool scene. This composition works very well with the diagonal flow.

Sandy,

Love this!  Great abstract (of course as togs, we all know what we're looking at... ;-) )  The composition works beautifully with the diagonal lines and the blue/gold combination is always a plus.

Two suggestions.  One, you might want to try and tone down the brightest highlights.  A TK Lights Triple Play (if you have) would work well here.  The second thing is that the lower part and especially the LRC is pretty soft. You might consider a crop.

Otherwise, this looks really great and I'm enjoying this one.

Hi Sandy, enjoying the abstract feel to the image. I agree with Lon's comments that would for me just 'tighten up' an already very good image.

One of the best ripples scene I've ever viewed Sandy.  Rich coloration without being over saturated and great detail.  Well done.

Hi Sandy,
I love the blues and oranges in this.  It's wonderfully abstract, and I can feel myself going back and forth between abstract beach ripples and aerial photography of vast snowy mountain range.  Really a joy.

Sandy, I like this image a lot.  I like the rhythmic feel in the repeated diagonal lines.  I also like the warm / cool color contrast.  Exquisite work!  devil

Excellent find and comp with the diagonals.  Other than the sharpness issue especially LRC, might interesting abstract.  Stopping down a bit more or focal blends may have been a good option here. (not sure if you had tripod with you and were trying to keep the shutter speed in the hand held range).

Great abstract.  Colors, shapes, textures - this has it all.  Also, it makes you think about scale for a second.  Well done, Sandy.
