Nomad Woman
by Richard Sandor
This is a portrait of a nomad woman living in the high mountain state of Ladakh in India. She lives at altitudes ranging from 13,000 to 16,000 feet. I photographed her in her tent made of yak wool which is the black material in the background. The light came in from an opening in the yak wool and lets smoke out. She has wonderful facial features which have been weathered by the elements. Olympus E-M1, 40-150 lens at 1/125, f/7.1 and ISO 5000. Richard
