I posted the frame prior to this one on June 27th. At the time I debated with myself over which of the two frames I preferred. I finally decided enough time had lapsed for people to be ready for more Eagles, so I'll post this one and maybe a couple of others.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held, f/8, 1/3200, iso 640, manual exposure. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to a 10.5 MP 4x5 before resizing. Taken at Big Beef Creek near Seabeck, WA on the Hood Canal at 7:54 AM on June 16th, 2017 (Oops! 2016. Thanks, David)

While both are excellent, I prefer this one. I like the position of the wings and the lighting just a bit better. Both are tied re: the intensity of the stare.

This is really nice Dennis. I like the intensity of the stare on the Eagle. I see that you took this in the future. I might have to go there on June 16, 2017 and see what it was really like and see if I can get a similar picture. Really nice detail against the background.

I usually go up to Seabeck in June too - might see several of you!
