This really makes me want to work on monochrome clouds.  Nicely done.  Curious, what time of day was this taken?

I like the sense of scale here as it really emphasizes the expansive nature of this landscape.  The light on the buttes is also very nice.  The B&W conversion looks great with a great tonal range.  There is a lot of interest throughout the frame.

I like this, Harley. If the intent is to make you feel as though these clouds are on right on top of you I think it achieves that. Especially in the very large version. This is the feeling I used to get when the clouds would drift over Tuolumne Meadows and you feel like you could reach up and touch them. I'm sure you've experienced that. The sky in the lrc seems a bit unnaturally dark to me but no biggee.

I agree with Brian's comments.  The sky really has an impact and I like your decision to include just a small amount of land, which itself has a lot of interesting features.

I like this, Harley. Nice combination of features - the dramatic sky/clouds, buttes, and light/shadows. The small amount of land is an interesting compositional choice  that cuts both ways, IMO. It makes the image more original, but also minimizes the landscape, includes the dranmatic light on the buttes, a lot.

Lots of "big" sky and clouds in this one, Harley. Should make a really neat print too. A really wonderful view looking out from this POV. No thoughts for change from me, just liking it as is....... laugh

Harley,

This fits perfectly in your "wide open spaces" genre, or theme.  This has depth - almost a 3D effect due to the nearest cloud, feeling and actually looking closer (I believe it is actually.)  In other words, clouds are often just out in the distance of a landscape. But here, they're much more dynamic.  Great job with composition. Even though there's just a sliver of land, it tells a big, wide-open story.  Excellent.

Processing looks great.  I do see Igor's comment about the LLC (I'm pretty sure he meant the left corner) being darker.  Doesn't bother me and I think it's just the natural falling of light and shadow because of the clouds.  But I can see why it might get mentioned.

Love the expansive feel, Harley.  The light on the clouds is awesome.  Really does have a 3D look.  Hey, I thought this was Idaho????

Big sky country is right!  (with apologies to Montana...)  Wow, I really like this.  Having the land so small down there at the bottom really gives a sense of "bigness" to that sky, and those clouds are gorgeous.  Really nice.

That is some big sky, and I like how you have presented it. The tones look great. I am glad you kept the amount foreground yu did. It adds to the depth and is a fine anchor for the sky. Well done, sir!

Wow!  Great choice with using B&W Harley.  You really have to see this large to appreciate the majesty of it.  Breathtaking.
