An ornamental lily shot last spring in the conservatory at Longwood Gardens, converted to shades of gray. I'll post the original color version as well. D600, sigma 150 f2.8 @ 3.5, 1/320, iso 250. Suggestions and other comments welcome.

Very interesting, Scott.  To my eye, the shallow dof in this image works much better in the B&W image, which is outstanding.

Scott, the B/W is OK, but I am in love with the color version, with it's oh so cool lavender and lime green, with reddish brown anther, and the naughty aqua stigma.devil

Scott, I prefer the color version. The colors make this lily more beautiful. I like the colors in the background.

Prefer the b&w version.  Both are outstanding, but the b&w seems to put the focus on the stamen and gives more depth of field.

Scott: I'll take one of each as they are completely different moods. Your B&W conversions have been excellent and I like how the B&W emphasizes the anthers and pistil but the color version is marvelous because of the color palette. Many kudos.devildevildevil>=))>

Hi Scott, a great BW conversion which works very well and which I prefer. In the colour version, which does have wonderful colours, I find the top right background seems to 'darker' and less 'harmonising'. Great work!
