There were lots of opportunities along the deeply shaded Bridalveil Creek in Yosemite. This was made from the bridge over the creek.

I like the zig-zag through the composition, and the shutter speed is a good compromise between frozen and fog. I might warm up the color balance a bit.

As noted by Ron, the water flow makes an interesting UR to LL zig-zag, Preston. I also like the mosaic patterns in the rocks, especially the large rock in the lower-middle left. Lots to explore in this one.

Thanks for your comments, gents! Ronald, for some reason, this is rendering cooler in a browser than my original PSD file. I do not know why. My monitor was freshly calibrated. I may look at the master file again and check it more closely. Thanks again

Nice one, Preston. As mentioned previously the curving water flow works well pulling your eye through the frame. Your processing looks spot-on to me. Only minor suggestion would be to clone out those two small foam spots in the URC.

Nice to explore the more out of the way possibilities in the valley. Twice bivouaced by the creek above the falls after climbs that took longer than anticipated.  Good flowing composition.

Preston,

This one has grown on me. ;-)  I do like the zig-zagging flow to this composition and the processing looks great to me.

Well seen and captured sir!

This image flows nicely from edge to edge.  Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun.  sad  In all seriousness, the s-curve leads my eye around the scene.  I also like the contrasting textures in this scene.

Nice.  The water looks soft, and the rocks look really hard, and it just makes for a nice juxtaposition, along with the zigzag of the flowing water.
Nice one.

I definitely like this one, PB. Very nice waterscape. I would back off the cyan a bit, but that is personal taste. I like Dave's cloning suggestion, too. Real fine work.

This is a lovely intimate scene,Preston. Your SS choice was perfect and created some nice textures in the water and the zig zag of the water flow takes you through the image beautifully. Everything looks great. I too would clone out those couple of bubbles in the ULC.
