Proximity Problem

Next photo in the series of shots I took of a juvenile bald eagle I was able to sneak up on.  At this point I was clear of the brush and essentially in plain site but it still hadn't decided I was something to worry about.  The magpie, on the other hand, was getting the "eagle eye" for pushing the boundary.  I cropped this one into a square for composition.

I love pictures that tell a story.  Magpies are real sneek-thieves.   The photo is rather busy but it's a nice capture.

Superb detail in the eagle, Gary.  A bit more dof would have been nice and it looks like you had plenty of room to increase the iso before you'd run into noise problems.

My only suggestion is to use the Shadows tool to try and tease a little more detail out of the Magpie, Gary. A lower angle might make the shot stronger, but the brush might not have permitted that.
