Precious, My Precious

Precious was my BFF's Mom cat. She and her brother had 2 litters...the 1st litter was too much for Precious to handle at 4 months, and her 3 kittens died before we realized they were alive. The 2nd litter of 5 found a more nurturing mother, and 4 lived to be great, adult cats. Precious, though thin and skittish, was my favorite. She always greeted me with purring and kisses! She felt like nothing compared to my Nellie-Belle of 10.5 lbs! 
In this photo, I let Precious examine the camera so she wouldn't be so scared of it. It worked to a degree as she let me shoot about 6 pix before she scooted under the bed! I used several layers, as well as selective color for this image. I like the light and dark sides, though the dark may be too dark around the eye.

ps: Precious, her Brother and all the grown kitties have since passed except for one. The fresh one, the brat, the talkative, demanding one. She is also the prettiest...
