Autumn has come a bit late here - this shot was taken a week ago in Delamere forest, Cheshire, among the pines and birches and a host of other trees.

I like this a lot Ian. Lovely use of ferns and tree trunks. Looks like a good place to visit.

Ian, it is a great pleasure for me to explore your composition with all the undergrowth and the trunks anchoring it nicely. You convey the atmosphere of autumn immediately to me.

You did a great job in representing autumn colors, Ian. I like a lot the yellows in the background. May I ask you why you used f25? Maybe a wider aperture would have give you a sharper image. Anyway, it is a lovely picture.

Ian, A wonderful autumn scene you captured here. It is a beautiful mix of color and textures that I'm very much enjoying.

The ferns are beautiful, Ian.  They're also set off well by the bits yellow and green at the top.  There so much to explore in the larger view.

I am really enjoying this woodland scene, Ian. There is so much to explore and enjoy in this image. Your low POV showcases the array of ground cover and it's muted colors beautifully. Excellent work.

I especially like the positions of the trees, they seem to follow a curve enclosing the ferns. The red leaves provide a nice centre of attention. Great detail from corner to corner. Beautiful light. Again a great autumn image.
