The sunrise was less than stellar this particular morning so I decided to crop down low to the horizon.
As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

The vertical format does not feel right. For me, there is a little too much going on here. Lands end and the the early morning sky is one photo. The ebb tide shore markings are another. The sum seems less than the individual parts.  The photo does make me want to be there though.

Pretty good lemonade you made, Ed. Great lading lines in the sand patterns. Also like how the one cloud is reflected in the leading edge of water.

Ed, I appreciate the way you focus my attention on the foreground patterns. The motion blur in the sea still accentuates this and the silhouettes at the top counteract it well to my eye.

I also like the counterpoint between the textured sand and the dreamy sea. However, the narrow format doesn't work as well for me. The sand near the bottom is darker and doesn't have the reflective properties which complement the higher water. So I might look to crop off some of the bottom to create a more cohesive composition.

I like this, Ed. This comp works for and I'm enjoying the looks of the foreground sand. I like the color and textures very much. The soft colors appeal to me as does the feel this has. It works without the sky too, but I like it this way. Nice quiet mood.

Nice comp with that high horizon line, Ed.  The transition through the frame from dark to light and from the precise lines in the sand to the softness of the sea and sky is very beautiful.

I appreciate the direction you were trying to take which this image. The textures in the sand are really cool and I like how you grounded the shape in the LLC. However I think that the lines created by the shapes and the composition/orientation of this image do not easily coalesce. The lines lead me to ends but not throughout the entire image. I think a straighter or more vertical shoreline and/or a horizontal orientation would have helped.
