The poster child for The Peregrine Fund, this adult male peregrine does demonstration flights in October of each year as a part of a flight show to help raise money for the Fund. He's a fighter jet disguised as a bird.

Cropped to vertical. Selective sharpening to the bird.

C & C, please. thanks for looking.

Hi Jim,

Large version is very nice--lighting, although soft, is perfect for the scene.  One of my favorite birds and it is worth seeing one up close.............................Jim

Very Beautiful bird, captured well.
Exceptional detail, great pose, and the gauntlet adds interest.
Congrats on the WP!

He's a fighter jet disguised as a bird.

And a beauty he is, indeed. Wonderful light and perfect sharpness.

I have seen only one Peregrine in the wild and that was at the summit of Mount Shasta (14,180'). He was in full trim, hanging in the breeze about 15 feet away. It was an encounter I will never forget. Your image brought back the memory.
