My brother and I stopped right alongside the road to shoot this stand of trees.
Nikon D800, 75mm, 1/45 @ f/16, ISO 800 (windy)

Thanks to all for the comments. Harry, if I recall correctly, the forward branches did not project that much so dof was not a problem.

Beautifully composed image of autumn foliage. The colors are very appealing. The white birch on lrc draws me eye. I would darken it to make it less conspicuous.

Beautiful colors and nice sharpness for a windy day.  Very enjoyable.

Nice blast of layered color. A nice look at some autumn glory.

The colors are spectacular, Michael.  The tree trunks both dark and light add a fine touch of solidity to balance those beautiful leaves.

I've been shooting a bit of these kind of scenes as well.  The partially turned leaves/colors provide some nice contrast, especially mixed in with the trunks.  Did you find any focus stacking needed to keep it all sharp?  Hard to tell even with the large image, but it all looks sharp to me.  Waves of colors horizontally, mixed with nicer vertical of the trunks.

Beautiful fall colors, Michael. Well composed with the four tree trunks anchoring all the leaves. I always like it when the colors fill the frame, as here.

The darker trunks help give the image a nice depth.

Gorgeous colouring, Michael, and a neat composition.  The verticals of the trunks are very nicely set off against the swathes of leaves which seem to float across the frame.

Michael: Frame filling fantastic. The strong trunks hold this together really well for me. The larger version is a color junkie's nirvana. Well done.>=))>
