This image was taken last September in Olympic National Park, Hoh Rainforest-Hall of Mosses Trail.  The forest itself, which is mostly coniferous, does have some Bigleaf maple trees, whose leaves in fall add contrast to the moss-draped fir and spruce.

Well, you beat me to the Green theme, Paula.  I had it on my list for tomorrow, since our recent rains have created some wonderful fall greenery in the mosses.  This is a real beauty with all the nice moss covered branches adding neat structural elements to the image.

Green it is, Paula. Nice work getting all the different shades of green in.  Love the hanging moss.

An outstanding collection of greens and yellow greens, Paula.  The shapes of the trunks, the hanging moss, and the sprinkling of maple leaves are all great additions.
