Chickadee at Take-off

Caught this Black-capped Chickadee right at take-off. I personally like his wing position and angle coming of the mullein.

Really nice image.  I always enjoy the dramatic poses from takeoff and landings with a simple perch and great background.  All the elements work together to form a super image!

Very nice.  I also like the wing position and the fanned tail.  Perhaps add a catchlight?  You certainly make the most of your mullein stalks!

Very cool take-off position, Kurt.  It would be nice to have a little light in the eye, but you have to catch Chickadees at just the right angle to get a decent light there.  Excellent bg.

Very nice pose and shape.  Well-positioned in the frame.  The X created by the wings and tail was very pleasing.  Terrific background.

Great timing on your part Kurt. The catch light in the eye would be nice but it still presents nicely. Nice comp & background.

Cool.  This has such a strong graphic element.  Though the face is sort of lost (perhaps due to not much catch light in the eye), that doesn't really matter because of the shape of the bird and perch.  Lovely background too.
