This is a two shot stack of a Dahlia I took a couple of weeks ago.  I really need to invest in good stacking software.

5DIII, EF180 f/3.5L + 1.4 TC, tripod and cable release, f/22, 5 sec, iso 100, manual exposure.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Full frame.

Comments & criticisms are always welcome.

Thanks,

Gorgeous color and detail.  I love seeing the progression of the petals as they begin to fully open.  Very nice!

Dennis, your stack looks great and your comp. is perfect, focusing well on the tight petals in the center with a fine gathering of more mature petals (and color shades) leading off to the left.  It's a beauty.

Extremely nice texture in the leaves here Dennis.  Composition is spot on.  The gradual opening of the paddles is wonderful.  Nice color and not overdone.

Nice stack and great comp, Dennis. I think two was enough with the center sharp and falling off to the petals in the rear.  Really nicely done!

Dennis, I say the software you have is doing what you want.  This is beautiful with amazing textures.  By the way, thank you for the comment of the milky way image.  That was my first attempt with night skies. cool
