"Beyond Here Lies Eternity" (unreleased)

From an exciting evening along the Northern California coast :)  Super tough to process this for the right viewing situation.  Tried my best...obviously black background is better.  Full story on the blog!

Much thanks all!

Lovely shot!  You made a great composition.  The colors beautifully blend and that sky is a waterfall of stars tumbling into the emerald sea.  Dark sidewalls but enough detail to tell their story.  Well done!   (ps...I don't get it ..33 clicks and no comments?)

I like the dark walls. They emphasize the path to the stars at the end of the tunnel. I think this is quite spectacular and very well done. The detail view is a must see to get all the nuances of the image.

Very exceptional image...liked your blog story on on it. Enjoying the light and details of the chiseled cave.

Truly excellent image with a novel take on showing the Milky Way.  I would say your relative contrast ratios are as near to spot on as one could hope to see.  Fabulous image.

A terrific image, Aaron, just enough detail in the walls to hold interest, a great sense of tunneling to the light, and a fine star field in the distance.

Masterful handling of the dynamic range and tones here. And the location of course is wonderful.

The lit corridor guides me through the image.  Really nicely done.  The reflected light of the water illuminates the walls just enough while keeping the feeling of darkness and the time of day - or night in this case.

This is exceptional, and it embarrases me that people looked and didnt bother to take the time to comment.
Incredible image with amazing elements and exceptional colours. Great story on the blog!
Congrats on the WP, and i am pretty sure we will be seeing this on the yearly NPN wins.

Wonderful image Aaron, one anyone could appreciate and admire, but I think that only a fellow photographer could truly understand the mastery involved in its creation.

Really overwhelmed by the feedback.  Thank you all so much.   :)    I was messing around with a square crop and it might even be stronger...depends on what each individual is feeling really.  Adding it here, though might repost as it will be buried I feel.

Thanks!

Really stunning, Aaron.  I am a fan of the square crop.  It opens the image up a bit, and despite the cave-like impact of the first (which was great) I like the brighter, less walled in impact of the second post.

Congrats on a well deserved WP too.

Diggin the square, I think it focuses the image on the best details!
