Nice composition with excellent detail in the hummingbird, Jim. I think a bit more dof would have been nice to bring that beautiful flower cluster into focus in the larger version. I think this could stand to be just a bit brighter, at least on my monitor.

Gotta love all the color in this one Jim. I agree with Dennis about brightening the image some. My first thought when I saw it was that it was a bit dark. Cool flower and I love those long tailed hummers.

Awesome to get this bird perched up like that on this flower, I agree you could go a bit brighter and a little more depth of field would have improved this, I will be there in a few weeks.

Hi Jim
The cropping and color management is great.

Great look at this brilliant species, Jim. The secondary elements are also eye-catching, particularly the flower perch. Nice job getting the entire hummer in focus - would have been great if the entire perch was in focus as others have pointed out.

Love the pose and colorful background. Perches just do not come any better. Agree this could go brighter.
