Taken the same day as my last post. She posed nicely and I had great light. I wonder if you have opinions about the oof vegetation arching over her head. I Ieft it as it was but could probably remove it. This approx. 80% of FF. Selective sharpening to the Goldfinch with normal adjustments.

Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

Great pose and perch.  Excellent feather detail.  I think I'd prefer it without the oof vegetation arching over her head that you mentioned, but it's a great image either way.

Beautiful soft browns and yellows on this fellow Steve. Nice unobstructed view also. Good work.

Excellent detail and color in this one, Steve.  I'm not sure about this being a female.  This is definitely a juvenile (the brown/gold plumage and wing bars are diagnostic-adult females have white wing bars) and I don't think you can tell male from female at that stage.  I'm OK either way with the oof vegetation.

I think you have a hatch year bird here, Steve. Gender uncertain. I like the slightly OOF stuff in the upper right; it balances the photo. A very handsome shot.

Excellent! Great bird, nice pose and head-turn, lovely flowers, sweet BG.
That one spray of flowers over it's head doesn't add anything, so I'd personally get rid of it all the way back to the flower head,  and the black leaf too.
Then - even better!
Very fine work!

Beautiful image. Great light and colors.  I'm okay either way on the OOF vegetation.

Steve,
If possible I would definitely try to make the oof vegetation disappear.
Other wise a beautydevil

Here is a version with the oof vegetation removed. Is it better, I'm not sure?  Thanks for the comments.

Beautiful shot Steve, I MUCH prefer the original image where the flowers are on both sides, they are both a framing element and help to balance the flowers on the left. devil

Hello, Steve. Nice shot in warm light. I like the overall setting, and the OOF vegetation are not disturbing to me. Cheers, hans
