Teton Morning

From a recent backpacking trip in the Tetons a month ago. This is from the North Fork of Cascade Canyon on the morning of September 1. Our campsite was about 100 feet from this spot, and we spent a lot of time down by this stream.

Sony a6300, 16-50, other techs to come...I only have the JPGs with me right now.

Craig, I really like this scene and what a great place for a campsite! The soft light on the mountains is very nice and I like how natural the image feels. The foreground water flow looks and works wonderfully here. It all looks good to me and the only thing I can see that (maybe) could add to it would be to brighten the mid-ground lower trees a bit. That might add a little more depth but I not sure it really needs it. I like it a lot just as it is!! Cheers.

Just a great image. I like everything about it, especially because it is a unique view of the Tetons. The light is really sweet. The Tetons is one of my favorite places on earth and I have hiked Cascade Canyon before, a couple of times. This image really makes me want to be in this spot.

Beautiful Craig.  This image tells a grand and emotional story, which is exactly what you want it to do.

Strong composition with the tree line being duplicated by the mountains. It has a very natural appearance in that the shadows haven't been tweaked to add luminosity. A really nice job.

Really beautiful, Craig.  It's been a while since I've been to Cascade Canyon and this image takes me right there under wonderful conditions.  Very nicely done, love it.

Great image Craig and nice light. I like the way you handled the water also. Well done all around.

A great (and different) look at the Tetons.  The sprinkling of early sun on the peaks is a terrific highlight and shows off their shapes well.  As usual, the 720px version seems dark, but the larger version opens the foreground and the stream very well.  You've got a fine sense of movement with the stream and a strong feeling of you are here.

Thanks all for the comments! This was my favorite campsite of the 4-night trip, and we got some good light the evening before this as well. More photos will be coming.

The gentle light makes this one for me, Craig. The contrast looks very nice, and I like the hints of clouds. Nicely done!
