Lamar Valley Raptor 2

Found this guy in a cottonwood tree in the Lamar Valley.  This was the clearest shot I had of this guy. I did like the fall colors in the background. Not sure what species this is. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2015.5) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

I'm not sure from this angle, Jerry, but it has the look of a Red-tailed Hawk to me.  Excellent detail and a great job catching it squeezed in between the branches.

Hi Jerry
I am going with Dennis on the bird being  Red-tail Hawk.  Nice detail and coloring.

Nice capture of the hawk btw. branches.  I personally would have cropped the upper bg, to rid of the "hot spots" and the lower portion and the tree trunk on the right.

I agree: first yer Red-tailed. A nice image. You convey the sense that the hawk is feeling a bit squeezed, too.

Nice image of this young Red-tail Jerry, I would consider cropping in a bit closer if the IQ holds up. devil
