Wild Dog Pup

A small pack with just this pup was spotted at our waterhole first thing in the morning, tea drinking was abandoned and we jumped into our vehicle to follow the pack,
They started to hunt a Reedbuck and the normal mayhem ensued, the pup got lost and ran towards a troop of Baboons, we followed to ensure its safety. The adults killed the Reedbuck and returned for the pup before eating the Reedbuck in pesky long grass.
A fine example of the sociability of these remarkable animals.
After the feast they moved to the nearby Shumba waterhole for a well deserved drink.

I like the raised paw and the intensity of the eyes.  Your exposure captures the patterns of the fur well.

Excellent capture, Ken.  My only wish would be for a vertical version to enhance the directional angle of the body and maybe show some more of the water and his reflection.  Quality of light seems especially nice.
