This is from the Atlantic Rainforest SE of Sao Paulo on the coast.  This species like many other birds and mammals endemic to the Atlantic Rainforest is considered threatened due to habitat destruction.

What a beautiful bird with such beautiful colors.  Perfectly sharp and perfect detail, of course.  It's so very sad about all the habitat destruction around the world.

Beautiful bird and very well photographed, Nate.  Great pose.  It would take some work, but the flash seems to have done some ugly things to the oof bg vegetation and I think this would look much better if it were removed.
