You didn't ask, but I prefer the vertical. Nice capture.

GREAT to catch 2 bees, both in sharp focus and one even flying! Lovely flower too, and complimentary BG.
My only suggestion would be - IMO - to move the flower slightly right in the frame. Just a little too close to the edge as is, for my taste.
Very fine image!

Hi Scott, the vertical crop is spot on - really makes the whole image sing ...

The clarity of the flower and the two bees is outstanding, Scott.  The colors also look great, with good coordination between the flower and the bees.  I'm torn about how much background; This looks great as presented, but I do wonder how cropping more off the right would look.  Now, in scrolling down, I see that you're already exploring the possibilities.  What I see is that both version look great, but they create two very different feelings for me.  The original post has a fine sense of space and a nice touch of enjoying a sunny day.  The cropped is a fine, tight view of a particular and very interesting event.  I like them both.

Sweet, Scott.  Lovely flower and bg and the two bees add a lot to the image.  Dof seems just about perfect for my taste and the angle of the bloom works very well.  I just saw the alternate version and I'm torn between them.  Both work very well for me.

Hi, Scott!  I think the vertical version is breathtaking.  This is sharp everywhere it should be, soft everywhere it should be, and so beautiful.
