Mount Moran Night

This was my first time using this particular Rokinon lens. I like the fact that some clouds are visible, but you can still see the milky way. I believe the recent fires in Grand Teton National Park accentuated the colors. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015.6.1) and Photoshop CC (2015.5) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

This is a real nice night scene image, Jerry. I like the realistic look (rather than the look of near daylight on the land).  Beautiful scene. Great start to using the new lens.

The lower half is exceptional. The upper half, not so much. Just my opinion. The dark cloud on the left feels awkward. I would crop it to remove most of the stars and a bit of the left.

Jerry, this is a fine nighttime shot, with an outstanding star field.  Was this an early evening shot (given the glow on the horizon) or is that glow from a distant town, west of the Tetons.  I ask that because it always amazes me how a tiny bit of artificial light show up so strongly in full on, night time shot.  I do think that I'd crop the cloud along the left edge and along the top.  For some strange reason those feel like framing, while the rest of the clouds are a good addition...

Mark, this image was taken around midnight. There was very little light visible to the naked eye. I too am amazed at how much light a long exposure can pick up. Not sure what the source of the light behind Mt Moran is. I re-cropped the image per some of the suggestions.

I like the repost, Jerry.  Very nice night image of Moran.  I can assure you there is nothing for many miles behind the mountain.  Only very small towns and very little light pollution.  I love my Rokinon lens and have yet to use it on a night shot.  Really nice.

The bigger version sings with sweet light on the darker areas to bring out the beauty.  Well done.
