Sandy, I would have the trees take up either 1/3 or 2/3 of the frame. I actually prefer the 1/3 more, with the snow taking up most of it. Just a suggestion. I like the simplicity of the scene.

Lovely subtle shading to create the layers in this, Sandy.  A beautiful image.  I looked at Igor's crop suggestion, and it makes it a whole different image, and I think a more powerful one.  It might work to just change it to a 4x5 vertical with everything off the top.

The shadows in the foreground make this, Sandy.  They sure have me wondering about the lighting and topography as I thoroughly enjoy the peaceful winter scene.  I like this view with the tops of the trees showing, to me, that balances nicely with the shapes from the shadows in the clean foreground.

Sandy the whites are really nice here. Your layers are subtle and almost geometric. This is a great photo for this challenge. Just enough black on the trees to add a lot of interest.
