A bright yellow flower on a sunny afternoon.

Canon 60D, Canon 15-85@85mm, f/8, 1/1600, ISO 400 The high shutter speed is due to very windy conditions which brought in rain clouds later in the day.

I love the implied swirl/direction to the leaves. You handled the harsh light well. Feels sunny to me!

Love the pinwheel effect, and both flower and bloom in good focus, with the BG nicely-blurred.

Barbara the portrait is splendid: a beautiful yellow very well controlled in light and tonality. In the background the colors are a pleasure for my eyes. I am not able to see anything to improve.

The flower is well handled, considering the very bright lights. The almost overhead approach helped keep out the heavy shadows, but still allowed for some detail. I would have liked to see stronger blurring of the BG, either in image taking or post processing.

Beautiful composition, Barb, and I'm amazed you managed to get the kind of detail you did in a yellow flower on a sunny day-I've completely given up on that combination. Excellent image.
