Going back to Swans, I photograph these three at South Cove in Old Saybrook, Ct. , with the help of a mono pole.  The photo is cropped by 20% and I used Lightroom 5 to help with the whites.

Nice detail and eye contact in the swans, Peter.  I don't know just how much editing capability there is in LR, but if this were mine, I'd think about blurring the bg reeds a bit and maybe adding some canvas on the right to give them a bit more room to fly into.  This would make a nice pano format with all the Swans lined up like that.

Good job getting all three in focus, Peter. You have nice wing positions and eye contact on all three swans. If you have a little more room on the right , I would add it. A very nice image as posted.

Hi Dennis and Matt
The only room a have on the right side of the frame is 1/2 of another Swan.  I have open Photoshop Elements 8 and have tried adding canvas to the photograph, with some fair results.  I also lower the light level in the background in Lightroom.

Nice to catch 3 in the frame. Nice detail in the large version, although some of the whites are hot.
The white contrasts nicely with the blue water.

Nice to get all 3 here Peter, I think your repost is a bit of an improvement over the original post. devil
