Another tarn and view of the mountain. This is the largest of the reflecting pools in this beautiful area. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Lovely light, Scott!! My USD 0.02: in the small image I thought that the trees were too intrusive, but then in the large version I did not have quite the same feeling, perhaps because their reflection becomes more prominent ? I then thought about a crop from the left, but I would hate to lose the reflection of that peak. So, leave it as it is!

You certainly obtained some really nice reflection images, Scott. This does have a 'alpine' feel, as do the others. I am a little on the fence with the inclusion of the trees, but this is a nice scene. The color and processing look great.

Thanks for the comments. Regarding the trees, they are difficult to avoid. Moving to the left centers them in front of the mountain unless you go far left into a very narrow section of the pond where the high bank on the far side obscures the entire view. Going right introduces the right bank of the narrow pond into the foreground. I am posting this alternative view I took where I was positioned a few feet to the right. The trees are further left, but I also lost the rocks in the foreground, which I liked. However, is this view better? Note: I did not clone out the contrail in the alternate, whereas I did in the original post.

And, here's one more alternate. Shot from same place as the repost, but zoomed in.

I like the original Scott. Obviously, a view without the trees would also be pretty nice, but when you are handed lemons....Well you get the idea. The large view really helps to incorporate the trees into the larger landscape and reflection. Beautiful all around for me.

I agree with Gary, Scott. I think the original tells the best story.

It seems like nature more often than not puts something in our way, Scott. I think you made the best of the trees by incorporating them with the reflection. Mt. Baker l is still my favorite from your backpacking trip. Looks like you had a productive outing.

This series of reflections of Mt.Baker is just outstanding. What wonderful landscapes and such perfect light. I couldn't make up my mind which one I prefer, they're all so pleasing.

I agree with others...the first works best. We could imagine all sorts of improved angles to move the trees off the face of the mountain, but your decisions (based on your options shown in the reposts), strike me as the best choice.

I guess I'll be the discordant voice here - I prefer the "full" repost (not the zoomed in version). What tilts the balance for me is that in the repost the trees are not in front of Baker's summit, whereas in the original the tree in front of the summit looks a bit "messy". In the zoomed in version you lose too much of the volcano's flank. But, as usual, there is no single solution .... math is so much easier ....
