Common Sense???

It appears to have left the room as people pushed in closer and closer to a group of moose that were feeding near a roadside. This didn't stop some folks from trying to get closer even when the animals started to show signs of distress such as moving skittishly and raising the hair along their backs. Fortunately no one was hurt. Nikon D500 and Sigma 150-600 lens at 1/1000, f/9 and ISO 500. Richard

OH my Richard. I have seen stupid people do so many stupid things around wildlife in the National Parks. It is exasperating and you cannot tell them anything. They just become offended and go do it anyway. Your picture adequately depicts the problem. Thanks for sharing.

No one ever said common sense was common.  There was an article in our paper today about the increase in such incidences at our National Parks.  Your photo would have accompanied the article nicely.

Idiots.  I find moose frighteningly large and unpredictable even from the safety of my car.  I had one nearly run across my hood on a road near Anchorage years ago.

Good example of this mis behavior.  I like that you have detail in the moose.

An increasingly serious problem in the national parks. People can't seem to get their heads around how dangerous these animals can be, or how quickly they can move. Moose kill and injure more people than bears in Alaska.

A nice capture that illustrates the problem. I like that the moose is the center of the photo, visually and by focus.

Yikes that is a huge animal! You would think people would understand they have a bit of a temper if provoked. Glad no one got hurt, especially the moose.
