Dahi Handi is a festival celebrated in Mumbai every year. According  to the Hindu belief lord Krishna was born on this day. When Lord Krishna was a young boy he would eat all the curd what was in the house so his mother used to hang the pot of curd high up so that he would not be able to reach it. Krishna would then bring his friends home and make a human pyramid and climb up and eat the curd.

Now his followers recite the same thing in the streets of Mumbai. An earthen pot is tied about 40 feet above the ground and groups come and make a human pyramid to climb up and brake the pot.

I went to Mumbai to shot this and here is the result.

Camera Canon 5D Mark3, Lens 50mm at 50mm focal length, F/ 7.1 , Shutter speed 1/ 640sec and ISO 200.

Hussain, I especially like the different perspective you chose to showcase this interesting Hindu custom.   The rich blue color of the participant's shirts and the rapt attention of the crowd as they face the object of our attention draws our eye to the victorious young man as the water pours out of the ceramic jar.

Very lively and colorful. I like your viewpoint. The splash of water is a nice bonus, and perfectly timed.
