Juvenile Goldfinch II

Another Goldfinch from the morning I spent with them a few days ago.  I really liked the way this one came together.  I considered cloning the bit of petal on the beak, but decided it added context to the image, so I left it there.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held, f/7.1, 1/640, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  As in the previous post, I warmed this up a bit in the RAW editor.  Cropped to 14.8 MP prior to resizing for the web.  Taken August 17th at 10:08 AM with overcast skies.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis: very nicely done. All the elements of an excellent photo, light, subject and composition are there. This one deserves a place on your wall. Richard

Wow, the subtle colors of this juvie against that awesome background really work well, Dennis. Great pose and really nice detail in the Goldfinch. An all around beautiful image.
