Acadia NP, ME

This past June my brother found this lovely woodland scene while we were walking along the Jessup Path Trail in Sieur de Monts in Acadia NP, ME. His version; posted about a month ago; is a little darker and moodier than mine.

As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

Beautiful comp!  I also like the rich vibrant color.  Great eye to find such an ordered comp!

Really nice, Ed.  It pretty cool how two photogs, even if they're brothers,  interpret a similar scene.  Love the detail and color throughout.  I might suggest a crop from the right to center the placement of the trunks.  It might involve a bit of cloning of the right most fern.

Thanks for your thoughts Brian and Gary; always appreciated. Per Gary's crop suggestion here is a repost.
Gary: I had thought about centering the comp, but decided not to to see if anyone would suggest it. Mike and I always have a great time on our trips. He has a very keen eye for picking out scenes amid all the chaos of the forest.

Nice colors, textures and arraignment of the elements. It is not easy to fine such and ordered shot in heavy forest. Very nice image.

Sweet vibrant scene. I also like the cropped version. Hard to make order out what might be a chaotic scene, and this one works very well in that regard.

I think the repost nails it compositionally. This would probably make a nice scene in the fall when the ferns turn yellow. One small nit- I would clone out the dark diagonal branch in the BG. devil

Wonderful, intimate landscape, Ed.  Love how you have isolated these ferns and trees.  The cropped version works better, in my opinion.  Outstanding.

The large version is a must see to explore all the wonderful details you have captured in this image Ed. I really enjoy how you chose use the ferns in this capture. The ferns brink me in, and the tree trunk really allow to enjoy and stay in the image. The elements are wor so well together and allow the viewer to explore all around this image. The crop works even better for me too!

Beautiful intimate work.
