Taken in Umbria, Italy. I liked the combination of organic and anorganic textures and structures of the lichens on the locally abundant pink rock. All C&C is very much appreciated.

Canon 40D, iso 100, 0.6 sec, Sigma 150 mm, f/13, CPL, tripod, cable release

This is a wonderful abstract, with so much detail and texture to get lost in. Love the pale colors and the etched quality of the lines.

Yes, a great, interesting collection of colors, shapes, and textures, Igor.  This really needs to be viewed large to appreciate.  Your comp. has a fine balance between the lichen and the colors and lines in the stone.

Hi Igor,

This one has some wonderful features in the composition.  Colors are unusual, but go well together.  The diagonals add some tension to the comp and the placement of the dark lichens provides a base to the foundation.  Well donedevildevil..................Jim

A beautiful lichenscape, Igor.  That neatly veined pink rock really does set off all the lichen colonies beautifully.  Excellent dof to get everything in crisp focus.
