Windstone Arch

I shot this one several years ago when I was reasonably new to photography. At the time it was quite a technical image requiring focus stacking, long exposures and the use of a reflector to enhance the light on the tumbleweed.

Gorgeous image Andrew, I really like it.  The colours look really earthy and natural and the dead white tumble weed is a graphic contrast to the holey red sandstone rock.

The tumbleweed gives a different take on the scene.  Suggestions would be to reduce the vignetting a tad and darken the highlights on the rock from the reflected light.

Beautifully done, Andrew. I love the openings, the light, and the brightened tumbleweed inside. The sense of peeking in to this space enhances it a lot. Colors are wonderful, as well as all the curvy lines.

The lighting is superb Andrew with wonderful detail.  I think this is a sensational image.  Is this from Valley of Fire, NV?  I was there earlier this year.  An amazing place.

Looks like a fascinating place.  The tumbleweed lends a sense of scale.  I like the spotlight on the tumbleweed as well.  The deep shadows in the extreme corners on the right side of the frame tend to pull my a little.  You might consider lightening those shadows to better match the left side to produce better balance, but that is a matter of preference.

This is excellent Andrew.  Interesting "non-stereotypical" canyon composition and the lighting was handled masterfully both in camera and during post processing.  Well done.

Stunningly beautiful. It's also intriguing in that the tumbleweed seems to be out of place and that draws your attention. This should get more than 6 attaboy comments IMO.

I think the lighting is just perfect here. The tumbleweed is an intriguing inclusion. Well done!
