Milky Way Church
by Jerry Austin
This image was captured during the Perseid Meteor Shower over the abandoned St John Catholic Church in Bomarton, Texas. The image was taken as the Milky Way revealed itself. If you look closely in the bottom left, you can see a meteor streak. The meters range in size from a grain of sand to a small pebble. The light streak is created when the meteor burns up due to friction with the earth’s atmosphere. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2015.5). Comments and critiques welcome.
