An African Fish Eagle ( Haliaeetus vocoder ) comes in for a catch going into the water quite deep giving me the opportunity to capture a unique pose. The image was captured from a photographic boat we use during our photo tours in the Chobe National Park in Botswana.

Canon EOS 1DX  -  EF300mm f2.8L IS USM  -  1/3200sec at f/7.1  -  ISO 800 <div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"> </div>

Amazing capture!  Shows the power of the eagle, especially in those wings.  Definitely a different view.

Very unique and very nice. Love the feather detail and the reflection. A little more room all around if you have it. Well done.

That bird must have been almost in your lap to get it that large in the frame with a 300mm on a full frame camera, Mario.  Looks like you had lovely light and you really caught a nice moment.

Thank you all for stopping by and commenting. The image is a about a 15% crop so I could of left more room but preferred to concentrate more in the action <div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"> </div>

This is great as posted Mario. The detail is amazing, the water splashes almost look 3D. Love the wing position too.  devil
