Egretta thula

Another one from my trip to Fort Desoto in June. A little tighter than I would have liked, but I have no room on the left. Pretty extreme crop, about 51% of original.

1D Mk IV, 500mm f4L IS + 1.4 TC
1/5000, f8, exposure comp -.33
ISO 400

Perfect timing. I like the wing-water touch. I might brighten this or increase the overall contrast.

What a lovely pose, Matt.  I really like the foot just leaving the water and the extended wing just touching it.  Excellent job on the exposure of the whites.

Great pose and nice handling of the whites. The dragging foot and water splash add interest.
Fine work!

Very nice wing position balanced against the soft undulating waves and blue tones of the water. Nice composition.
