Clark's grebe pair + repost

An image of a Clark's grebe pair from the pond taken on the same day as the western grebe I posted a few weeks back. This was after they had fed, and were preening and socializing with other grebes.

840mm, 1/2000s@F9, ISO500, -2/3Ev, tripod.

Nice image of the pair.  I like the contrast of the two with one of them raising up in the water.  Overall the image is a bit dark.  You could easily bring up the overall exposure and not lose details in the whites.

Thanks for the feedback, Keith. I have brightened the image a little more. I am interested to know if this looks better.

Original is nice, re-post even better.
Seems slightly high in the frame to me, but an excellent shot.

Great positions on the grebes and a nice job getting them both in focus.  I do like the repost better, but I agree with Sandy.  You might try just adding a bit of canvas on the top-the bg looks like you could get away with it pretty easily.

Really nice scene you have captured here, Govind. Great job with the exposure on the whites, -2/3 did the trick. I think you did really well with the composition having two birds in the frame. Great light and a nice low point of view. Very well done.

The re-post looks better Govind. I agree with others that the Grebes seems a little high in the frame. I would rather see more room at the top and less below.  The poses and the low pov are great. Well done!

I really like the interaction here and you've done a good job to keep both grebes very sharp. Good color. The birds pop against the background.

Great job getting these both sharp Govind, you did well with the comp considering 2 birds with one raising up suddenly.  I do think the repost is better. devil
