Nice environmental image Jerry. I like the white flowers surrounding your subject, but I might consider moving him a bit left to off center him a little more.

Nice light and habitat framing the goldfinch Jerry. I agree with Kurt on his comp comments, a vertical comp could work here as well, IMO.

Congratulations, Jerry.  A lovely bird in a glorious setting.  In line with others maybe a little off the left and top would strengthen the image, though I wouldn't want to lose very much of that setting.  The bird in the larger image looks just slightly soft, so I'm not sure the image would support much of a crop from here.

Nice summer setting for the goldfinch, Jerry. Congrats on getting the species. Aside from the comp, I find the image a bit too bright, especially the goldfinch's breast.

Sweet shot of this American Goldfinch, Jerry. Congratulations on the lifer. The habitat is excellent. The exposure is spot-on. Sweet light. I see some slight pixellating in the larger image on my monitor.

I like the environmental scene here. I think the light is very nice. The bird is a little soft. Framing has already been discussed. The colors all match very nicely and frame the bird well although I would like to see it perhaps half a centimeter to the left.
