Beautifully composed! I like the layers in the mountains and the low hanging clouds. Of course the silhouette of the elephant is the main subject. Nicely timed with an interesting pose.

A lovely silhouette and landscape combination, Jagdeep. The raised trunk and tuft of grass really make this image.

Hi Jagdeep,

This is a very nicely composed image in all regards, and I very much like the graphic simplicity of it. Love both the raised trunk and the lighter mist in the background. There are a lot of artifacts of scanning visible on those beautiful distant hills - if this were mine I'd hammer those into submission with selective noise-reduction, even if it meant losing a little detail (to my eye this shot is more about composition and "forms" as opposed to details in the distant hills).

Have you tried deepening the tonality of the misty mountains to pronounce them more?
