As some of you may have heard, the famous fox vixen in Waterton passed away last year. She was often spotted by visitors and locals and sometimes seemed to enjoy all the attention she got. On this particular day, her kits were highly rambunctious and were running everywhere. The vixen got up and walked over to the field we were sitting in, waded through the tall grass, and proceeded to take a nap behind us. The kits looked curiously at her and us, but dared not come over. I think the mom needed a break and knew the kits wouldn't follow.
Thanks for lookin'!

Its a shame she is no longer with us . . .
Nice to see a shot of this little vixen! Sorry to hear she'd gone, but great to see she's been well immortalized by you.
I like this shot, especially how she's clearly focused on what she's doing and not you. To me the shot feels a little bit flat...and if this were mine the first thing I'd experiment with would be selectively increasing the contrast on the fox to make it pop a little.
Thanks for sharing this one!
Cheers...
