American White Pelicans

Another image from the pond where I have been photographing grebes recently. This time it is a trio of white pelicans. The pelicans come to feed on the fish in that area.

840mm, 1/3200s@F9, -1 1/3Ev, ISO640, tripod, fullframe.

Hi Govind, This is really a nice shot of these white pelicans. I like the tight comp, love the light, color and details. The large version looks great. Nice job on the selective focus too. Works great!

Sweet light. The depth of field and the tight composition works really well.

The large image here is very nice. The light really sets the tone. It has a very friendly warmth to it. I like the fact that all the beaks are in the same angle. The differential focus emphasizes the lead bird very well.

I like the progressive blur in this image, Govind.  the front bird is beautifully sharp and the lighting in the image is to die for.  I do wish there was a bit more room around the pelicans, but taking time to remove a teleconverter would lose the composition entirely.  With the muted bg you might be able to get away with adding some canvas if you want to play with it.

I like the comp on this one a lot Govind. Great decisions on your aperture. I like how the Pelicans are stacked throughout the image and your DOF choices provide a lot of depth to the image.

I like this a lot.  Love the tight composition and the low perspective.

This is very visually pleasing to my eye. The larger image truly does need to be viewed, it's quite splendid.

Outstanding composition. Love how the pelicans are stacked and the uniformity this gives to the image. The warm light is brilliant. Well done!
