Working the River

This is a picture I made a couple of weeks ago while I was on a photo trip in Upper Michigan. The photographer is Tom Haxby and a  very good friend of mine. We decided to meet for a few days and work on making a few new images. I know he came back with some great ones.
While shooting here I had put on a 6 stop ND filter to get some long exposures shots. When I turned around and looked down river I saw Tom and thought I would see if I could get a shot of him at work. I know with the long exposure the leaves have movement but at least he stayed fairly still during the 6-8 seconds.

Wow, that water looks like platinum. I've never been a fan of long exposures but you made it look good.

Congrats on the weekly pick, Nick. I like the diagonal flow to this scene and the ND filter created some wonderful effects with the water flow.
