I like this composition with the placement of trees/ferns and the dark background really makes the tress stand out.  The larger image has some wonderful detail as you can really check out the lichen on the trunks.  I think this would also make a good B&W but a very nice image as is.  Nice job in seeing this, way to go. .

A very appealing interplay of the barks and the lush greens of the ferns for me. I am just thinking of brightening the background a bit, especially at the right, to show some more of the delicate details.

Well composed intimate scene, Michael. Attractive collection of ferns, lichens, pine branches, and hardwood tree trunks with lots of different shades of green.

What a cool image, Michael. The large version is just wonderful to look at. Excellent comp with really nice light, color and textures. Beautifully done!

Real nice rich scene. I would be inclined to burn the trunks top left to more closely match the right side. Fine work.

Beautiful, intimate forest scene. The lush ferns are gorgeous and your comp is excellent. I might do a bit of dodging in the upper left to darken a bit but this is minor stuff.

Very nice, Michael.  Love the comp.  The ferns against the tree trunks works really well.  I agree with burning the left side trunks a tad.

Beautifully done, Mike. The lighting on the trees and ferns compliments the slightly darker BG perfectly as it adds an air of mystery to this woodland scene. The large version is a real treat as it showcases the lichen on the trees rather nicely.
