Peppermint Pie
Not the real name for this hibiscus but its about as big as a pie plate. Sometimes a challenge to shoot due to wind movement so a lot of shots end up in the recycle bin but pixels are free so why not? All comments welcome.>=))>

I can never get enough of hibiscus - beautiful detail, and the composition works for me.

Excellent comp, good control of whites and a lovely background. I could wish for more dof to take in more of the stamen and pistil, but that doesn't look entirely feasible unless you upped the ISO and narrowed down to about f/22.

Hi Bill,
Very nice--comp and colors are pleasing to the eye.  More DOF could be a good thing for this shot, but I believe that you have enough there to make this a successful shot. Well done................................Jim

For me a picture dedicated at two contrasting colors beautifully represented. Bill I am wondering about lowering the color of the BG turning it near to white just for enhancing the two main colors. What do you think about?

My rose mallows do the same thing - but since each bloom has about an hour that they look good, I have gotten to where I pluck them from the plant to shoot if I get a good one.  That way I can control the angles, wind, etc more.

Very, very nice shot, Bill.  Excellent color and classic comp.
