A female Amanda's Blue (Polyommatus amandus) caught in the early morning light of a wind free, beautiful and fragrant, summer meadow in the Erzgebirge, Germany. A dream of summer ...

Sigma SD1 Merrill, Sigma 180mm Macro, F6.3, 1/13 sec., ISO 100.  The OS on this excellent lens (and a bean-bag), allowing a very slow shutter speed for this ETTR exposure.

Mark, the pastel background is a lovely addition to the colorful view of this little butterfly.

Great picture of a wonderful little butterfly. I love the non-distracting background and the how it allows your eye to really focus on the subject. Everyone seems to really love that lens and now I want to find one to try out. Great shot.
