When things are slow

This is probably a scene that many nature photographers will recognise.  It was taken a few weeks ago on a cold morning at about sunrise when the birds were not playing along.  Coffee seemed like a good idea. The only light was that coming in through the viewing ports of the hide and I have tried to emphasize the effect on the steam.  A little white vignette was added to create atmosphere.

I really did not know where I should place the image and chose Wildlife as it is strongly associated with wildlife.  However, if that is wrong, please could it be moved to a more appropriate gallery.

Hi Jake.  I like what you have done here and I find the almost monochrome treatment to be quite effective.  Good composition, too.  I have moved the photo to POP, which I feel is the most appropriate gallery.

Hey Jake,
Well seen and presented image with a perfect title, we have all been there before, you made good use of your boredom. The treatments you applied in post processing all work well and help set the mood of the overall composition. This would have also been a nice fit for the Photo Art Gallery.
Well done . . .  devil

Works for me! Love the high key presentation and the vignetting (I assume) in the lower corners works well. Very well done.
