Relocated Tiger

In common with the sucesfull saving of the Scimitar Horned Oryx in Dubai outside of its natural habitat in Africa, this image was taken in a sanctuary in South Africa, where Tigers roam wild , hunting the majority of their food, from the prey species in the reserve. I see nothing wrong with this as there is no evidence of the Indian government maintaining areas where Tigers can live as the population growth escalates.

I do like the   pose and composition of this tiger image, nicely done.  As far as tiger conservation, not sure if this is the way to go, but agree it appears as if India is not doing that much.  Thanks for sharing photo and project.

Just an excellent composition - the tiger coming at you, the raised paw, good eye contact, BG.. Wow!   Are there any long-term plans o restore them to India< or are they too swamped with people?

John and Pete,

Thanks very much, whilst everybody's hearts are in the right place, I really do not think this project will not work in the long run.
It is however a lot nicer than the noisy crowds in there "homeland".

The larger version is very impressive.  The tiger really pops against the background.  Thanks for sharing.

This is really powerful Ken in many ways, both the message and the center stage position of the tiger. I really like the DOF with partial view of the landscape in the BG. Beautiful color and detail in the main attraction.
