Island in the Fog

A few years ago, the Grand Canyon was treated to an inversion. It was very cool to see the canyon filled with clouds and look from above them on the rim.  Here, the clouds had risen to make this rock a singularity against the faded ridge behind.

I like this a lot as is, a nice moody scene.  I also wonder what it would look like if there was a bit more saturation in the red rock and green trees.

Gorgeous, Doug.  I really like the depth the fog creates in this image.

Wonderful photo.  You could use PS haze filter to bring some color to the tree and the rocks.  I, too , wonder what it would look like.

I like the way the rock in the fog transitionally fades away as the FG anchors the image.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I went back and added some additional saturation and it was better.

That isolated rock pillar and it's trees look great against the foggy background, Doug.  The colors look quite natural to me, but I wasn't there.
